About
Tanya Gioia
Family Recovery Coach & Host of Faith Over Addiction
I started the Faith Over Addiction podcast for one reason:
To give Christian women like you a place to breathe.
A place where you can hear truth without shame.
A place where you can stop performing, fixing, rescuing.
A place to hear God’s voice again—maybe for the first time in a long time.
I’m Tanya Gioia—a Harvard-trained theologian, certified Family Recovery Coach, and woman who knows what it’s like to lose herself in someone else’s addiction.
Through every episode, I help you:
Set boundaries without guilt
Stop walking on eggshells
Reclaim your identity in Christ
Create peace at home—even if your loved one doesn’t change
Move from fear and exhaustion to confidence and clarity
You love someone who’s addicted—and it’s tearing you apart.
You try to hold everything together, but inside you're crumbling.
You cry out to God, but the silence feels deafening.
I see you. I’ve been you. And I’m here to walk with you.
Googled “Is it wrong to love an addict?”
Cried in church because no one knows what you’re going through
Pretended to be okay for the kids, your spouse, your parents
Questioned your worth because of someone else’s brokenness
Then Faith Over Addiction was made for you.
You are not crazy. You are not alone.
And there is another way forward—with grace, support, and God’s truth leading you.
My Hope for You
Everything I teach, share, and create points to one goal:
Helping you become the woman God called you to be—even in the midst of addiction.
Not by saving them.
But by saving yourself in Christ.
